The big cosplay sale is here! Costumes orders can be combined with books, enamel pins, stickers, and other merch!
Headpiece: Constructed from foam, covered in Thibra and then embossed for a heavily textured look. This is piece I'm most proud of, and is also the easiest to wear: the entire thing flexes slightly at the opening so it can slide past the neck and sit balanced on the shoulders without closures. Your shoulders are likely shaped differently than mine, so for the most comfort I'd suggest adding some foam or felt cushioning to the base, or re-form it to your own collar by heating the bottom portion with a heat gun and letting it cool into a new bend. There's a large amount of foam padding behind the head, which is intended to prop up the wig for a "floating" look.
Hip panels: These are very heavy, originally sculpted from clay and cold cast in metallic powder and resin. They are glued to a vertical piece of Worbla and connected by webbing and a buckle slider that fits around the waist.
Knee armor: Constructed from pearly worbla and painted with metallic powder. Each piece velcros independently around the back in two places.
Shoes: Size 7.5 womens' heel, covered in worbla and thibra. Even if these fit you, I suggest re-skinning these unless your feet are smaller than this. They are not comfortable to wear for more than a few hours at most if your feet tend to swell up after walking around con, since they don't flex. There is a gap in the front of each shoe, to allow room to slide it on. This gap is then covered by the front armor piece, which snaps on.
Clothing pieces are made for a height of 5ft5, 34A chest, and 37ish high hip. They are stuffed and very loose, so they can fit a much larger lower hip. There is a very large unseamed gap in the back, for the tail to fit snuggly through. The front gem piece snaps on and off from the shorts, and is attached to two long bias strips that currently do not have a closer and should either be pinned or permanently sewn on to fit your measurements.
Tail: Really big. Constructed from a segmented sintra core and then skinned in mattress foam with creature cast on top. Unfortunately the creature cast weighed it down a good amount, so it no longer flexes easily. As a result, it can only fit into incredibly large boxes and weighs a lot on its own - depending on where you live may not make sense to ship it. It is not factored into the shipping cost of this listing, as it must be sent separately.
Welcome, everyone! We are Cowbutt Crunchies Cosplay, and we're so excited to finally bring you a project we've been working on for the past two years! We're long-time cosplayers who dabble in everything from ballgowns to electronics, but many people know us for our elaborate, larger than life wigwork. Tutorials and cosplay education is a huge part of who we are, and many cosplayers have asked how they too can create these sorts of wigs. We've uploaded many tutorials over the years, but finally we've been able to compile the core techniques that we use into a single book so that ambitious cosplayers can embark on their own extreme projects.
Want even more wig goodness? Check out our social media sites for more tutorials and progress, and especially our charity patreon at https://www.patreon.com/cowbuttcrunchies for additional walkthroughs and 1 on 1 help.
